Kevin Simms has hit 93 mph with his Losi XXX-S sedan. This is what he said about the run:

im just using the mamba max esc with the mamba 9000kv motor and 4s lipo flightpower pinion is only a 28tooth the spur is a 84tooth and the internal gearing is 1.83 standerd so now ive got to gear up and head for the 100mph mark.

Chris Chappell's CSC-1

Chris is designing a R/C speed run car based on a Team Associated TC4. The dimensions of the car will be:

Overall Length: 32"
Overall Width: 8"
Wheelsbase: 18"
Chassis Length: 23"
Overall Height: 5.25" (may change if I can get the shock towers significantly lower)

Chris will run a Mamba Max 7700 motor on 4s Li-Po batteries. His goal is to hit 120 mph. More info can be found here.

9000 KV motor from Castle

Castle Creations has a new super high KV motor. Its a 9000KV motor designed to run on a max of 2s. I know the speed freaks out there will be trying 3s. This will be the motor to have for the 7.4v class at a speed run competition.
